Activities
We organise and encourage our girls to participate and learn through various activities that we organise.
The children have opportunities to explore their talents through various competitions, creative activities and events. Drama, dance and music form an integral part of their skill development. The girls also have karate and self-defence classes. In addition to this, all the important festivals and special holidays are celebrated with fervor and zest culminating in competitions and programs that bring great enjoyment and enthusiasm to the children. Regular outdoor trips (both education and recreational) to parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, malls, movies, fun shows, theme parks, multi cuisine restaurants, beaches etc., are frequently undertaken.
Music
As the management believes that music can be both therapeutic and a professional career, the children are engaged in singing various genres of music and learning to play musical instruments. A dedicated teacher engages with our wards regularly.
Education
While late bloomers were home schooled in the past, now all our children attend private school travelling by a bus exclusively owned by us. The academic progress is monitored regularly by following strict study times, having tuitions for specific subjects, providing extra help for weaker children and also liaising with the school teachers on a regular basis. The trust also supports complete college education for those who aspire to greater academic pursuits.
Vocational Training
A full-fledged vocational training in Tailoring is offered to the girls above 10 years with the help of a dedicated teacher and necessary resources. They have a set curriculum which covers hand tailoring, embroidery, lower-level and higher-level machine tailoring, etc. The girls are given hands-on training in measuring, designing, cutting and stitching fabrics into dresses for themselves and also making costumes for programmes and events. The tailoring skills coupled with wire basket weaving and other crafts enable them to make a livelihood even if they are unable to continue higher education. Some girls are also given the opportunity to go to other vocational training institutes offering beautician, hair dressing courses, etc., according to their areas of interest
